After producing my Stop motion animation I wanted to see what people thought about my animation so I made a survey monkey questionnaire so people could answer certain questions so I could understand the things that went well and the things that didn't go so well on my animation.  The place of my animation was set in my home town about a five minute walk from where I live so it was handy. Stop Motion is a trendy style of animation. A big combination between clay work and something to take many photos on is quite popular this has created things like : Wallace and Grommit, Chicken run and pingu which uses stop motion techniques to make a story this is mainly used for cartoons as it entertains kids. The first episode was made in 1990 and directed by Christopher Sadler Peter Sallis was one of the people whose voice was used in Wallace And Gromit who has unfortunately died the other day. With combined skills of clay design and creativity the show became very successful that also made a few films. 

Shaun the sheep is a more recent example of stop motion which was also a very popular show aimed at kids the creator of this also made Wallace and Gromit who is called Nick Park. Nick Park has a broad and imaginative brain. He has created animations that have become a nation wide success.

Nick Park's work relates to my time lapse animation as it requires the same technique which is to take photos constantly which when played back sorta looks like a flowing video. With Claymation you can take a photo of a clay model stood still then move one of the models body parts then take photos of the movement independtly so when its watched back at a faster speed it looks like the model is moving in a flowing motion.  For my animation I placed a camera in a still position and took photos of a the same place and the exact same thing the only thing that was changing was the weather an the colours of the photos which were getting darker and darker each frame as the day was turning into night.  I think the animation I made was quite good after I bought the equipment I was on my way. I liked the outcome of the animation however the camera kept moving so when played back the camera seems to jump into different places and angles.

In conclusion I made a survey monkey to send to my friends and family to get their opinion of my stop motion animation. The thing that I wanted to produce was the day light turning into dark with a nice landscape in the background which is what I got.



 The following photos are questions I asked and the responses that they gave me everyone liked the animation that I made most people said the best part of the animation was the place that was chosen for the time lapse . The main criticism that I got was the place of the camera and how it kept moving around. So this is the main thing I would change about my stop motion animation. This can be prevented by making sure the tripod is secure and not loose so that it doesn't move around. This would improve the quality of the video. On the video this is quite a visible thing to see so fixing it will be a good thing to do.

Here is a video of my time lapse and a time lapse that someone has made and put up onto YouTube their time lapse consists of the making of a world trading centre the main thing I liked about this stop motion is the different angles. Time lapses take as long as it takes for the thing your filming to change until you want. So my time lapse of light turning into dark only took about 2 hours as it was in the winter however buildings take ages to make especially sky scrapers which probably take years to make so the time to make the animation would be long and will be very time consuming I also think its very good that the time lapse starts off with the building not being there and then its slowly moving up and up full with builders building there way up. But the time lapse makes the action of the building look fast. Survey monkey wouldn't let me add more questions to my survey so I have to add them onto this
